Location

The Symposium will be held at the Interhotel Partizan, Tale situated in the heart part of the National Park Low Tatras, Slovakia. The hotel offers a good quality accommodation in comfortable double bed rooms. Besides it the hotel offers swimming pool, sauna, fitness centrum, horse riding and excelent skiing opportunuties. There are three ski-lifts and cross-country ski tracks close to the hotel. 7km from conference site could advanced skiers find the famous ski centrum Chopok (2024 m) with 6 ski-lifts. Another possibilities for skiing are Bystra - 3 km from hotel, Myto pod Dumbierom - 5 km from hotel, with artificial snow and Certovica 24 km from hotel.

Transport by Special Symposium Bus

Town Tale is situated at the center of Slovakia (see Map) surrounded by hills of Low Tatras. Therefore connection to Tale is a little bit complicated. Local organizing committee has decided to organize Special Symposium BUS for participants from Bratislava to Tale. Bus is free of charge. Departure of bus will be at 11:45am on Monday 15th January , 2001 from behind Hotel Druzba, Bratislava. Number of places in bus is limited to 40 people.

All participants interested in it are asked to contact Mr. Jozef Rahel.   

After the end of symposium, on Sunday 21th January, same symposium bus will be set up from Tale to Bratislave. Estimated arrival to Bratislava is before 12:00 am.

There is a possibility to accomodate limited number of participants at Hotel Druzba in Bratislava for night from Sunday 14th January to Monday 15th January and for night from Sunday 21st January to Monday 22nd January. This could be very useful for those with bad plane connection to or from Bratislava. Hotel is free of charge. In the case of interest please contact Mr. Jozef Rahel to arrange it.

Getting to Bratislava

Bratislava has its own airport. Very close to Bratislava (60 km) is a bigger airport in Vienna (Austria) - Schwechat. There is a regular bus connection from it to Bratislava Main Bus Station.

By train or bus:

A very nice server for finding bus or train connection to Tale could be found at this website. 

Tale is rather small village. The nearest important town with bus and train station is Brezno (16km). Local organizing committee will organize shuttle bus from Brezno bus and train stations to Tale on Monday 15th January from 11:00 am to 20:00 pm.
