We are pleased to invite you to participate to the 4th Training School “Bridging Science and Innovation: Translating Plasma Medicine into Clinic and to the Market” of the PlasTher COST Action CA20114, held at the SAPP conference venue from January 28th to 31st, 2025. This training school aims to equip PhD students and early career researchers with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully navigate the journey from groundbreaking research in plasma medicine to real-world market applications. Through a series of expert-led talks and interactive sessions, participants will gain valuable insights into the multifaceted process of technology transfer and commercialization.
The program features first-hand experiences from startup founders in the plasma medicine field, highlighting both challenges and successes. Sessions on clinical microbiology and clinical aspects will provide a deeper understanding of the medical applications and potential of plasma technologies. Key topics such as intellectual property protection, patenting strategies, and DIN standardization will be covered to help participants understand the regulatory landscape and how to safeguard innovations. Finally, a session on effective science communication will teach participants how to present their research with clarity and impact, ensuring their findings resonate with diverse audiences, from investors to clinicians. The training school is specially oriented to young researchers, PhD students and all other colleagues interested in approaching the topic. Participation in the event is free of charge, but the number of places and travel grants is limited, so do not hesitate to apply soon!
