The ion mobility spectrometry is a powerfull tool for:

- detection of the trace gases (drugs, explosives) in the atmosphere
- analysis the ions formed in atmospheric pressure discharges
- studies of ion-molecule reactions at high pressures

Description of the apparatus

IMS apparatus

Recently we have employed this apparatus to study electron drifdt in the mixture Ar with trace amounts of molecular gases.
